Landing the dream fish takes time and luck
The following itineraries might help too
RIVER EXPEDITIONS AND OTHER SESSIONS
The perfect way to fish for mahseer and see them in their element is by raft. Three of the most raftable Indian rivers are the Ganga, Sarju and the Mahakali, and we work with only the best professional rafting guides. Most tours depart on a fixed date with a 'book-by' date. Outside of these dates, we'll be happy to run up a customised tour for you anytime depending upon the river conditions.
Expedition includes: Return from New Delhi, full board (deluxe accommodation wherever available or camping, all meals, beverages) all fishing permits, guiding services, transport to all the fishing spots with vehicle on standby for the duration of your trip. We also provide the landing mats, landing nets and scales for the proper handling, weighing and release of your fish.
Not included: Fishing tackle, gratuities, alcohol or expenses of personal nature.
Packages are for a minimum of 2 anglers for one week's fishing holiday.
If you have the time and wish to explore other waters at your own leisure, we can supply a complete Expedition Unit comprising vehicle, guide, camping kit and cook on a per day basis for as many days as you need.
Our Chef de Camp is an expert in catering to a wide variety of palates. Breakfasts are continental while main meals are Indian. All food is prepared with great care and hygiene.
While camping, guests have individual 4-man dome tents with lots of space to keep gear and kit. We use dry-earth pit toilets while camping on expedition under collapsible toilet tents.
THE SARJU RIVER

Undoubtedly one of the world's most scenic rivers, our beat on the Sarju river is 15kms long. It runs from its confluence with the Eastern Ramganga to the great confluence with the Mahakali at Pancheshwar. And it is one of the best stretches for outstanding Mahseer fishing and Goonch fishing.
Access is by an ancient forest path. Our Base Camp is at the head of the valley where it leaves the road to flow through a land forgotten by time. The Sarju is a big springfed river and the fish comparatively larger.
Thanks to our conservation programme initiated several years ago, the fish have returned. The upper waters can offer better fishing and are fished on expedition basis - we camp, and carry all camping gear, cook and gillies. One can also explore the river from our Base Camp at the head of the valley.
THE MAHAKALI RIVER

The only river with all four mahseers - golden, redfin, copper and chocolate.
One of the few places left in the Himalayas for a 50+ pounder is the Mahakali River on the India-Nepal border. The only way to fish the Mahakali properly is by raft.
The fishing stretch is almost 48kms long and you will move camp every few days. There are some very large mahseer and even bigger goonch catfish in certain spots, which makes it the place to get your monster fish 'fix'.
Monthly expeditions in October, November, March and April.
THE GANGA RIVER

For both beginners and experts
The Ganga mahseer are particularly fond of hitting a fly and some spots have produced double figure fish.
Thrill seekers can raft up the Ganga. Ask us to run up a fishing holiday (or just a holiday).
TROUT RIVERS

Customised itineraries on request
Thanks to close cooperation with the Fisheries and Forest Departments, we have access to four rarely fished, outstanding trout rivers. These are in the remote highlands of our state and require long transits.
The fish are not yet into double figures in weight but definitely double figures in numbers. Our best session on our favourite trout river produced 98 browns in 2 days between two anglers. We can help you better that.
SPECIALIST TRIPS FOR SPECIMEN SIZED FISH

Customised itineraries on request
At certain times of the year, it becomes possible to target nothing but big fish. Different species behave differently and it is a matter of timing more than luck to bag one of these fish of a lifetime. We organise Specimen Expeditions for Mahseer, Goonch and Trout at certain times of the year. These tours are of a long duration, minimum 10 days depending upon location and method of approach- over land or by raft.
These Expeditions are on a fixed departure basis for 2-4 anglers.
